BACnet International Welcomes LumenRadio as its Newest Corporate Affiliate Member

BACnet International is pleased to announce that LumenRadio has joined BACnet International as a Corporate Affiliate. Headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, with support offices in Germany, Norway and the United States, LumenRadio develops wireless technology for the most business-critical applications. The company offers end-user products as well as radio modules that replace the BACnet MS/TP cable through reliable wireless mesh which eliminates time-consuming installation planning, cabling, daisy-chaining, and troubleshooting.

LumenRadio’s W-BACnet technology makes it possible to create a wireless BACnet mesh network that maintains the standard and interoperability of the protocol. W-BACnet enables wireless transmission of BACnet MS/TP data with low latency through LumenRadio’s mesh network technology, MiraMesh. The W-BACnet technology is compatible with any products utilizing the BACnet MS/TP standard.

“Our W-BACnet solution has been very well received by the market and many have experienced how wireless solutions for smart buildings enables you to manage your project with ease and boost efficiency and profitability,” states Carl von Rosen, Product Development Manager for Building Automation, LumenRadio. “We are eager to actively participate in the standardization work through the SSPC 135 Committee and PlugFest to find modern solutions for using BACnet wirelessly.”

As a BACnet International Corporate Member, LumenRadio joins the ranks of more than 160 leading building automation suppliers who support the promotion of BACnet as a global communications protocol.

“We are excited to have LumenRadio join the BACnet International community and look forward to collaborating with them to further promote the successful use of the BACnet standard worldwide,” states Andy McMillan, BACnet International President and Managing Director.
