New Open Building Automation Association in India Gains International Support though BACnet International
BACnet International has announced its support for the launch of a new association in India called “INBAC.” The new association is intended to facilitate the development of an ecosystem of suppliers, users, government and standards-making bodies in India to establish building automation standards that promote interoperability. The intent of INBAC is to leverage existing ISO global standards for building automation. In addition, INBAC will identify unique needs of the Indian market and work to have those addressed through the global standardization process.
The INBAC association has been in development for over a year and has established connections to a broad set of building automation leaders in India. The association has already established a core working group and a technical working group. The initial campaign to recruit corporate members in multiple categories will begin soon.
